McLean's Martial Art wow took me back to the old days when the martial arts was more a traditional art than just a sport. Kwanjang Nim  Ray takes the adult classes and nothing but 1& 1/2 hours of shear hard training  from the start with just warm ups you know you are being taught the  traditional ways  of the martial arts.

I go home knowing I have trained  hard and feel sore the next day.  when Ray came to the UK  he was asked to take a class , the parents and all the students were that impressed they wanted him to say in the UK and teach them

Thanks Ray you for  classes and memories  .

My Name is Robert Cummings ,  Security Supervisor, Ace of Clubs Security services.

  I use to train with Ray for about 3 years , the martial arts was more a traditional art then and not looked upon as sport . Kyo Sah  Nim Ray took  the adult classes and boy this bloke trained you likethey did back in the day .Nothing but 1& 1/2 hours of shear hard training  from the start with just warm ups you 10 relay push-up . 30 sit-ups- 10 back bends, 5 minutes of stretching  and then he had us do stomach tentchens and with us higher belt he would either walk on your stomach or come along with his kendo stick and wack it across your stomch this when you know you are  being taught the old traditional ways  of the martial arts. I remember one saturday we trained flat out for 30 minutes s s 1 minute break and at it flat out for 10 minutes . then he took us through the combination moves each combination 4 sets of 10 . you LOLOLOL you either walked or cruelled home knowing I have trained  hard and feel good the next day. Thanks Ray you run a great class.

                                      ++++++++++++++++++++++++
Growing up in one of the worst neighbourhoods of Sydney's far Western suburbs ,I went through my school years being bullied .
Even through I was physically bigger and stronger ,faster and better trained from early childhood than my bullies I lacked a very important arguably the most important  part of a martial artist. COURAGE .

I was scared of and for my oppressors. I had no will to fight because I didn't want to hurt them.Fast forward to my 14th year and I meet kwan jang Ray McLean Straight away this man had an aura of a loving father and disciplined warrior. After I started training with kwanjang Ray i found my confidence starting to sky -rocket and learned self respect .Kwan Jang Ray put me to the real test the National All Styles Tournament in Sydney I should have been terrified ,but I had so much confidence in what Kwanjang Ray had taught me that I went on to claim several titles and defeated some of the current undefeated martial artist there.
I am now in my early 30's and with Kwanjang Ray's early confidence in me and he 's Tuition, I am now a very successful  security officer and soon to be a close protection Agent/officer for some of the most high profile VIPs in the world.

After a literal lifetime of training I can honestly and whole heartedly say that training I received in Kwanjang Ray's school is second to none! if you're looking for a school with a teacher that takes true pride in really developing he's students then THIS IS IT!
kwanjang Ray's approach to teaching far surpasses that of any ordinary martial arts teacher that I have come across. I owe this man my life because without him and his guidance, I would not be the man I am today.

Mark  Colton ,

My brothers , my first wife and all my children trained with kwanjang Nim Ray up to blue belt , my other brothers Dean reached Brown belt and My  other Brother Ross reached Black belt, all my children reached coloured belt levels  , the thing we found with Kwanjang's  Style was it prepared you  and  conditioned your mind and body should you need to defend your self , the training was hard . when you went home you knew you trained hard every muscle in your body ached , I have tried a number of style since then and none come close to what McLean's Martial Art teaches.

thank you Ray for your guidance and wisdom

Paul Lambeth - first prodigy

I trained  in a number of martial arts as a young man  before signing up with Kwanjang Nim Ray , you would turn up for training and there was Ray doing his stretches and warm ups , then class would start and what was the very first exercise after bow in , relay push ups only 10 but boy those ten felt like 100  then came the leg raiser sit up and if you were an advanced belt he would make you do at least 60 . he would make us run around the hall  more pushup , more situp , more star jumps .

the we would stretch ,that was the first 20 minutes .Ray didn't just condition our bodies  to defend our selves he conditioned our minds and and taught us  that if your  happy within your self  then you don't need to proof anything to anyone . he would take us through a meditation at the of every class and he would list to our problems if someone needed an get something off their chest he would sit down and listen to you. he will take that time to help you with a kata if you had trouble with it he made the classes fun especially for the children ,

When I reached black belt and moved away with my parents , I opened up a dojo and  started teaching McLean's Martial Art ( unsu do) . I have had the privilege to pass on my knowledge to my own daughters.
